Veterinarian / Co-Owner
I grew up on a farm in North Dakota and moved to Wisconsin with my husband Randy in 1994 after graduating Iowa State University School of Veterinary Medicine. My veterinary interests are preventive care, behavior and small mammal medicine (critters like rabbits and hamsters). I currently have 3 cats (Johnny, Hey and Simba) and 1 dog (Zoey). Simba can often be found helping Jessica behind the reception desk at the clinic in the afternoon. My non-veterinary interests include sewing, reading, & gardening. I assisted in starting up New Life Pet Adoption Center, and still spend quite a few hours volunteering there.
I grew up on a hobby farm in Merrill, WI. I studied equine science at UW-River Falls which led me to attend UW-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in May of 2014. I take pride in creating a strong bond with my clients and their pets and providing quality care throughout all life stages. I also enjoy poultry medicine. Away from the clinic, I enjoy horseback riding and fishing with my fiance Ryan, and our son Bryce. At home we have one horse (Nick), 2 Australian Cattle Dogs (Zip and Butch), chickens, and a guinea pig (Cooper).
I grew up in Sheboygan, WI and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from Lakeland College. Before working at Wausau Animal Hospital I worked for Rasmussen College and often dressed as Rassy the Moose at local events. I played tennis in high school and college, and now enjoy karate at Premier Martial Arts in Schofield. My wife is veterinarian Jaime Gifford and we spend most of our free time with our two boys Max and Alex. My favorite part of managing the animal hospital is making sure our customers are happy, participating in local events, and petting all of the puppies that walk in the door.
